| Student Alumni Associates Membership |
| |
| The Student Alumni Associates (SAA) is a bridge between the student population and the alumni of Virginia Tech. It offers its members unparalleled leadership opportunities through volunteer events, conferences and networking with alumni. Many of the events at Virginia Tech
are organized by SAA such as pep rallies, HokieHype, Hokies Respect programs, Seniors Movin' On, Faculty Appreciation and Founders Day
activities. SAA also supports many Alumni Association programs such as reunions, chapter and college constituency events. The STAT
(Students Today Alumni Tomorrow) Team is a smaller group with SAA that works on strategic planning with Alumni Association staff to
improve ways to reach out to students. Our members consist of fraternity and sorority officers, members of the VT Corp of Cadets, cultural
organization leaders, elected Class representatives, and involved students from across our diverse campus. The bonds forged between the
members and the alumni as well as the Alumni Association staff, has proved invaluable as many have created long lasting friendships and
networking bonds in the corporate world. We're not just an organization where you'll meet people from different socio-economic
backgrounds, but an organization where you'll make long lasting friendships with the university's diverse student and staff populations. |
